“ From Zen simplicity to lavish elegance my unique designs suit your individual taste and style!  My vision is that the true art of floral design is found through high quality flowers and superior design technique.  Using natural and local materials in creative ways I incorporate flowers that represent the best of the season.  With a degree in Plant and Soil Science from the University of Vermont and over 15 years of professional design experience I offer a full spectrum of knowledge about flowers and plants.  There are some things a flower shop cannot offer—that’s where I step in.”  –Alison

{Two of Us}  We are a boutique floral design business specializing in fresh designs for weddings, events, and custom orders for private and corporate events.  We do not have a “cash & carry” shop, which means that each arrangement is tailored to the specifics of the space, season and taste of each client.  All consultations are by appointment. 

In the spring of 2002 Alison started the business with a few local restaurant accounts and was thrilled to book one wedding that summer.  Now as a husband & wife team we design up to 25 weddings per year and have worked with over 150 couples in Vermont & beyond.  In addition to his job with a maple syrup producer, David is the deliveryman extraordinaire, while Alison executes the floral details.  We met at UVM, fell in love, got married in Vermont and never left!  We truly love Vermont weddings.

{More from Alison}  I took my first hands-on flower class at summer camp when I was in fifth grade and quickly fell in love with floral design.  When I turned 16 I got my first job at a flower cart in a mall in New Jersey—naturally, the only place a teenager in NJ would go to find a job!–which gave me hands-on floral training that turned into a career path. 

I moved to Vermont in 1996 to attend The University of Vermont where I graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Plant & Soil Science and a minor in Small Business.  Of course, I also worked at a flower shop while I went to school and after working for several shops in the Burlington area, as well as an organic flower farm, it was time to branch out on my own.

For the past 8 years I’ve had the pleasure of working with people on some of their most important life events.  I am passionate about flowers, nature, weddings and all of the local splendor Vermont has to offer!  Visit my blog for planning tips, inspiration boards, feature weddings & Alison’s favorite things!
